Language Co-op Program Enrollment Procedure
Inquiries from candidates:
Agents and various associates recruit potential candidates and/or students inquire to schools directly.
Review of eligibility:
GEOS Languages PLUS determines if prerequisites needed for the program are met. We ask that:
- Students have at least an intermediate level of English or French. (If students do not meet this language pro ciency requirement, they will be expected to study at our schools until the required English or French level is reached.)
- Students have appropriate work experience and education for the work desired.
Level check (if requested):
Our schools can send written evaluations or arrange telephone interviews to ensure the students’ linguistic abilities in English or French. This is a complimentary service.
Registration with school:
Students or the agent representatives submit applications to the schools of their choice. Students must register for a minimum of 3 months in an Intensive Course or a Super-Intensive Course. The length of the internship should be equal to, or less than, the time of studies.
Canadian Study Permit registration:
Students apply for the Canadian Study Permit in their home country, or send the application to the United States if already in Canada under a different visa. GEOS Languages PLUS supports students by providing any documentation necessary.
Studies:
Students complete their language courses at our schools. In addition to their lessons, students are given job skill workshops during their studies to prepare them for their future employment.
Placement:
GEOS Languages PLUS works with students to find the best possible job placements.
Communication and Follow-Up:
GEOS Languages PLUS maintains communication with students and companies to ensure a successful course and experience.
General prices:
- Placement fee for the Language Co-op Program: $750 CAD(full) or $500(self)
- Fees for GEOS Languages PLUS: Course + Accommodation
