English for Academic Purposes

The English for Academic Purposes program is designed to help students develop the necessary skills required for academic success in a North American college or university.  The course is intensive in nature and requires a lot of work on the students’ part. 

Students not only develop their overall language skills, but also focus on developing specific academic skills such as note taking, academic writing and reading, and individual presentations and group discussions.

The English for Academic Purposes 1 Course is designed to help High Intermediate level students develop the necessary skills required for academic success in a North American college or university.  The course is intensive in nature and requires a lot of work on the students’ part.  Students not only develop their overall language skills, but also focus on developing specific academic skills such as note taking, academic writing and reading, and individual presentations and group discussions. 

*Note: Students should be in the Intensive English Program Level 4 as a minimum requirement for this course.  If you have any questions, please speak to your Academic Coordinator.

The English for Academic Purposes 2 Course is designed to help Pre Advanced level students develop the necessary skills required for academic success in a North American college or university.  The course is intensive in nature and requires a lot of work on the students’ part.  Students not only develop their overall language skills, but also focus on developing specific academic skills such as note taking, academic writing and reading, and individual presentations and group discussions.

*Note: Students should be in the Intensive English Program Level 5 as a minimum requirement for this course.  If you have any questions, please speak to your Academic Coordinator.

The English for Academic Purposes 3 Course is designed to help Advanced level students develop the necessary skills required for academic success in a North American college or university.  The course is intensive in nature and requires a lot of work on the students’ part.  Students not only develop their overall language skills, but also focus on developing specific academic skills such as note taking, academic writing and reading, and individual presentations and group discussions.

*Note: Students should be in the Intensive English Program Level 6 as a minimum requirement for this course.  If you have any questions, please speak to your Academic Coordinator.
