GEOS LA-SOUTH BAY
|
Hi! My name is Rod and I'm from France. I was a student at GEOS for 3 months and I guess it was a smart move to come here and not a waste of time at all. GEOS LA-SOUTH BAY
is such a small and lovely place where you can choose to learn English in your own pace. The whole staff is composed of friendly and kind people who are always there to help you
about any kind of problem related to classes or not. The classes are not too big and that create a comfortable atmosphere, unlike UCLA extension which was my first English school
which was great too, GEOS classes offer much time to the student to express themselves not because it's a better school but just the way that they made the classes give much confidence to us,
the student, to speak loudly in front of the class. Like I said before UCLA extension was my first English school, they help me to build a strong vocabulary but maybe because the class was
little bit too crowded, I couldn't be able to improve my speaking, I think it's important especially for foreigner who are shy and even more for beginner to be in a situation that they can
be able to speak without wondering about anything, and that's what GEOS does, put yourself in a comfortable situation to be able to express yourself. So it's a different kind of teaching,
both are good in the way they teach. If you want to be in a school with a few number of student (from everywhere, Brazil, Italy, Turkey, Korean, Japanese, French...haha and even more) which
looks like more an academy, GEOS is the place for you. Off course the location is just almost perfect, it is Los Angeles... but more than that, to me GEOS looks like more a big family, with
is number of student, you can feel yourself at home, and it's important to feel like people are taking care of you, especially when you're missing your family. For me, definitively a good and
an unforgettable (people) experience.
Thanks you all and I don't forget to mention my perfect-ROCK-host family who makes me feel myself at home, and took care of me, I'll never forget my first Thanksgiving with them!!!

My name is Lee-Chuan and I will stay at GEOS Calgary for 36 weeks. I am studying English because I want to get a good job in Taiwan. I need to improve my English skills, for example, grammar, listening and speaking.
There are very few people from Taiwan here. Even the people in China Town can speak Cantonese. I have to speak English here. I知 sure I値l improve my English quickly.
At GEOS, when I have any questions, the GEOS teachers all like to help me. The office staff even helped me with a personal problem I had. Everyone here is so kind. I am so happy to study here.
I feel my English is improving. My speaking and grammar skills are better than before. I have already moved up from level 2 to level 3.
When I decided to study English abroad it was so difficult for me to choose a school. Now that I知 studying at GEOS Calgary I know it痴 a good choice. My host family is very kind. We went to Banff and Jasper together. I practice my English speaking and listening with them every day. If you want to improve your English and have a good home stay experience, GEOS Calgary is the perfect choice.

GEOS MONTREAL
|
When I arrived at GEOS Montreal four weeks ago, I just wanted to improve my English and add a highlight to my CV. But I found so much more than that: First of all, I have
won dear friends at school. While we enjoy Montreal together and get to know our different cultures, we practice our English skills without even noticing. Also, the highly
interactive classes help me build more confidence ... in both my English and myself. I particularly love the role plays and discussions on controversial topics that not only
increase my fluency but teach me lots about myself. This is due to the excellent young teachers, who impart even sophisticated grammar or vocabulary with esprit and humour.
They make me look forward to every single school day. Thank you, GEOS!

Actually the class here is desire in good level to match the student skills. So, when I started the class, I felt I could definitely learn something from the class. The activities are variety for international students to enjoy life in Boston. In addition, they will get a chance to speak English outside school in real situation. The teachers are great and they make sure the students understanding the lessons. Besides, they are funny and friendly. I love the location. It makes me feel so excited to come to school every day because I love to see it. Surely I would recommend my friends to come to GEOS because they will love it here. Moreover, they can improve English in such a nice location in downtown Boston.
I知 having a great time and I really enjoy studying here. The "International Food Day" in the school is where students bring the food from their countries. Because of this I can cook and share my food with other students from all over the world.

I am David Isa, 21 years old mechanical engineering student from Argentina, South America. As I know how important it is and it will be for my career to have a great command of the English language I made the decision of coming to Vancouver to study. I am so happy that I have made a very good choice as I discovered in Vancouver a wonderful city, very nice people and meet many, many friends from all over the world.
Studying is only part of my numerous activities that I made here thanks to GEOS Vancouver. I had the chance to visit the aquarium, museums, and jockey and football stadiums, to taste varied foods from many different countries. Well, coming here is just a dream came true which will also add a very important value in my personal development, to speak and understand the universal language, English.

GEOS NEW YORK
|
Hey! My name is Sarah and I come from Belgium.
I've been staying for three months in GEOS New York and it was the time of my life! My host family is very nice and I had several occasions to travel with them in other cities. I've also met a lot of very good friends that I, for sure, will meet again in the future.
My English level improved and I could successfully experience life in such an international city as New York. I will try to come back in NYC and I graduated from university to get an internship because this city is even better than I imagined.
You can find all kinds of food, bars, museums, people, etc. And it would take years to experience and try everything, to discover all the things that this city brings.
