GEOS students are well-cared for at our schools. Our teachers and staff know
how important it is to make you feel comfortable in your new school and home.
We provide:
COMPUTER FACILITIES
All GEOS schools in the USA and Canada have student computers, and many locations have a wireless Internet network (WiFi) so students can user their laptops and other portables. You can use the school computers
to further develop your language skills, check E-mail, practive TOEFL, and even do your homework
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES AND EXCURSIONS
Many of our schools have a monthly social calendar with activities and excursions. You can participate and visit local tourist
attractions with GEOS staff and students. Trips are provided at a nominal cost.
COLLEGE PATHWAYS PROGRAMS
Many of our schools have developed pathways programs to local colleges and other schools. Students completing a GEOS course at a certain level of English can enter these colleges and trade schools without the need for a TOEFL exam. Availability varies with location.
INDIVIDUAL MONTHLY STUDENT COUNSELING
On the last day of each four-week session we offer our full time students individual counseling. Students will receive a report card with their grades and comments from teachers about their performance during the month. On the last day of class, each student meets one on one with their teacher for a personal counseling session. Your teacher will go over your report card with you, and give you some advice on how you can continue to improve your skills.
OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS
You may be interested in staying in a residence hotel or dormitory. Our staff can assist you in finding these ecomomical forms of accommodation. Because space may be limited and require advanced reservations, we suggest that students book 4 weeks of homestay first. It is much easier to arrange other accommodations after your arrival.
