Intensive English (USA) & Comprehensive English/French Program (Canada)
Our Intensive English program is taught using Communicative Teaching Method. The four skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking are taught through the methods of communication. In the morning, there is a focus on grammar and vocabulary in the classes; and in the afternoon, there is a focus on listening and speaking. A new session begins every four weeks at all GEOS schools. You can enroll for just one session or several sessions. We encourage you to start your course at the beginning of a session (Week 1), but students are welcome to start on every Monday. Our Intensive English and Comprehensive English/French Program offers:- A choice of 24 lessons (full-time), 31 lessons (intensive), or 12 lessons (part-time) per week for the Comprehensive English/French Program
- A choice of 24 lessons (full-time) or 19/20 lessons (part-time) per week for the Intensive English Program
- Six levels of proficiency - from absolute beginners to advanced students
- Small classes, with 14 or less students
- A comprehensive curriculum: listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar
- Vocabulary, idioms, pronunciation and North American culture
- Creative learning activities
TOEFL Preparation Course
This course is designed for high-intermediate and advanced students preparing for entrance into North American colleges or universities. Our TOEFL classes offer:- preparation for the reading, writing, listening, and speaking sections of the TOEFL exam
- TOEFL test-taking strategies
- academic discussions, oral presentations, and written assignments
- mock-TOEFL test every 1-2 weeks
- choice of full-time studies (for USA schools) and elective classes (for Canadian schools)
TOEIC, IELTS, and Other Test Preparation Programs
Our schools in Canada offer test preparation courses in the TOEIC, IELTS, and other major English/French proficiency tests. These course focuses on both improving English skills and test taking strategies. Some schools accept pre-intermediate students for their test preparation courses while other schools accept only high-intermediate to advanced students. These courses offer:- strategies and skills for the four skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking
- test-taking strategies
- academic discussions, oral presentations, and written assignments
Internship / Work & Study Programs
Our schools in Canada, California, and New York offer Internship / Work & Study programs. You can choose between paid and unpaid internships. We offer free visa support and help prepare you for your job search. We also offer job and visa support to Working Holiday Visa holders. TESL / TEC Certificate Programs
Our schools in Canada offer teacher training certificate programs to aspiring teachers! You can choose from our TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) and TEC (Teaching English to Children) programs. Our courses train you in classroom tactics, learning strategies, and job search skills. You do a practicum at the end of your course, get a certificate, and can have reference lettersprovided upon request.Currently, the following electives are available at these schools:

Pathways Programs
GEOS North American Language Schools works with over 40 different post-secondary institutions throughout Canada and the USA. Our schools will prepare you with the academic skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking necessary to attend a post-secondary institution. Upon reaching the necessary level, our partner institutions will accept you directly from our schools without a TOEFL iBT score! Study Tours / Camps (For Individuals or Groups)
These Study Tours are offered year-round and are designed to last 1-4 weeks, depending on the group. You can join groups individually. Or, should you wish to send a group of students, schools can also custom design a program based on your specifications. Our Study Tours offer:- classes in the morning and cultural activities in the afternoon Monday to Friday

- homestay/residence accommodations

Business English/French Programs
Many of our locations offer Business English/French programs for working professionals. Our Business English/French program is designed to help you use your English/French in both present and future work situations. You will develop English/French communication skills with a focus on business contexts and environments. You will alsolearn vocabulary that is used regularly in the business world.* Business French is only available in GEOS Montreal school.
