While living at one of the homestays in Ottawa, students will stay in either a private or 2 bedded room. Both styles of rooms include a desk, storage space, and a personal bed for each student. Students will have the option of choosing between a half-board homestay (which provides 2 meals Monday-Friday and 3 meals on the weekend) or a full-board homestay in Ottawa (all meals provided).

Students are placed in the most well fitted homestays in Ottawa based on the students' personality and/or needs. In order to do so, a GEOS Ottawa staff member personally visits each of our host families with our students’ interests in mind. Moreover, host families must go through a police background check before being approved as one of GEOS' homestays in Ottawa. We do our very best to provide our students with a secure, educational and vibrant living environment. All of the homestays in Ottawa can be found in neighborhoods that are safe, comfortable and within the city limits or in the neighboring suburbs.

Many GEOS students return to their home country with lasting memories of the families they met and stayed with during their time overseas. Make friendships that last a lifetime!
